    Hey folks,
Looking to help the SO cycle to work. Anyone know the best route from the Innocent Railway (porty end) to Little France?
Currently looking at going under railway onto Hay Ave, then across Niddrie Mains somewhere.

    Well

Kinda depends how much off-roading they want to deal with.

Haven't been for a while but there is a less than obvious path from the back of the Jack Kane to the new road at Greendykes. (EDIT - oh that is LFD!)

I'm sure it will be wonderful one day...

Otherwise head for the new road via the less than perfect shared pavement at the side of NMRd.

CycleStreets gives two options - all on-road riding crossing NMRd.

A gentle climb to work and (more or less) downhill home -

(Assumes you stay closer to St. Mark's Place than Brunstane Road.)

Usual advice on here is 'try a route (or two) on a non work day, and then, perhaps, 'start on a Friday'.

Let us know how it goes!

Slightly longer version - even more 'off-road' - all tarmac.

NOTE where it says "Peffermill Road, Major road" there is actually a shared path (pavement) with signalled crossing across PR.
