My sister in law has a bike (unused) left behind today as her daughter has moved to London. I took her out into the park and promised her she was going to have fun - bike is a sit up and beg. She loved it. No need for special, gear, no helmet only six gears and quite light. We might just have another convert.

The bicycle is an important tool for the emancipation of those enslaved to their cars

You bet. The daughter who has moved to London left her car in the drive and it would not start. I had to push it out the way so that the mother could get her car out and start her new job. If you look at the happiness thread passim, I have had to go and get the saddle changed but when the mother arrives back from her new job I am going to try to get her straight onto the bike again.

** about to set up off to "BBQ" in Polton... Heavy rain about to drop**

CYCLING IS FUN! (actually I genuinely enjoy riding in the rain)

Cycling in rain ok if not cold or windy. Barbecuing in the rain though, no fun
