    Running from the 7 August for one month only.

    Not clear if they will carry bikes, but if they did then new version on the "Round the Forth" could be possible.

    Looks like this is the boat that will be used so there might be potential for a small number of bikes to be carried?:

    I'd have thought it would be much more profitable and would get much more use if it were run as a W shaped service. Something like:

    Anstruther -> N. Berwick -> Kirkcaldy -> Leith -> Inverkeithing

    and back again.

  3. Apparently they are fitting a bike carrier as we speak. They do not yet know if there will be an additional charge to carry a bike

    Nice - but £25 for an adult day return! Bikes "free" if booked in advance.

  7. I didn't think £25 was that bad. It's a reasonably long crossing, and let's face it, it's a pleasure cruise rather than strictly a 'ferry'.

    Could be a nice circular route as gembs points out.

    Excited by this, a Forth loop is definitely added to my to do list, sooner rather than later...

    I popped into the booking office today. A single is £14 (return 25). On the roof of the boat were a set of wheel bender stands. This looks rather exposed and I'd be pretty concerned as to the level of support for the bike given that the crossing is never going to be completely smooth. Has anyone tried it yet? I'd put a photo up but it's hard work with a phone
