The Figgate Friends are obviously really interested in what's happening here. There's actually a lot of local support for a skate park, and something basically for the older kids in the area to be able to use. It's going to be interesting (and I can't wait till the giant Porty High is no longer visible out of my front window!).

If they'd led with this rather than letting folk think they would use the site of the old school for flats they'd probably have saved thousands in consultations and objections.

I hope the keep the pool (sans building) Porty needs a lido again. Everywhere needs a lido.

Nah, the people overlooking Porty Park would most certainly have still complained, steveo. It was actually stated early on that the site would be used for 'good', but that cut no ice. Really did become a vitriolic standoff.
