Passed a horrible looking accident this morning. Police and ambulance in attendance and a red Specialized bike mangled on the verge; looked in a bad way. Didn't see the cyclist but hope he/she is ok.
If anyone knows that road they'll know there are a few side roads where people often chance it and pull out when there is very little gap in traffic (even when your in a car). Where the accident was I've always thought it a nasty junction.
Witnessing these things makes Mrs Beano want me to give up cycling; I try to use it to focus my mind on being the safest I can be on the road.
