Gyle Park paths

    The paths on the east side of the park have been patched with a thick layer of pea-sized gravel. It's really horrible to cycle on. One of the gym instructors said he nearly came off on it.

    I know that it's a park, but it is also signposted as part of the "family friendly" cycle route. It would be nice if they gave some thought to cyclists when making repairs.

    Surely there is a path surfacing specification - a bit more than just pile a bit of stone of some sort there?

    You would think.

    I'd also imagine it isn't great for wheelchairs/prams/buggies.

    The excess gravel has been swept off. The paths are much better now.
