So, I was perusing an article about the increasing risk of cycling in the US and came across this wheeze, the Bikebus.

It really is astonishing the lengths to which some people feel they need to go in order to get the benefits of exercising on a bicycle without just... erm, using a bicycle.

Still, given the article which linked to it simply took the perspective that accidents were increasing in number without any reference to what I'd fairly confidently assume was a concurrent increasing volume of cycling traffic, it's maybe less surprising that people have such a fear of the real thing.

Wasn't there a study which showed that drivers trapped in traffic boxes breathed more pollution than heavy breathing cyclists outside the boxes?

I wonder if they are filtering the worst of the pollution or whether this is just an option for getting the worst of both worlds.

I'm not going to lie: I go to spin classes. Last night I cycled to the gym to do one.

Why? Because I like exercising in a group atmosphere, with people to encourage/shout at me. Otherwise I can get lazy and slack off.

The aero bars are just there so you can mix up positions.
