"I wish I had a camera" - or not(?)

    My wife's brother in law was driving in the outside lane of the A149 in east Anglia. A boy racer came on from a slip road and drove straight at him from slow lane. He only avoided a crash by accelerating on to the central reservation. He says this is the first time in 37 years of driving he has ever felt he was just about to be in a crash. Even so, police will be taking no action.

    Not trying to excuse anything. Very scary to be passed by four tonnes of out of control metal without an airbag etc.

    What would have to change in the law for there to be redress? Even with presumed liability near misses don't register.
