    sorry probably wrong place for this post but......
    I saw a post about cycle speedway but it was extremely old, thing is ,does it still happen, when where etc. My group of kids might just love that !

  2. Redbraes Park (not far off Broughton Street, or is it Road?). Any, a lot more information at the Edinburgh Falcons site (I rode with them for a while, till a rather painful experience).

    Saturday 30th October - International action returns to Redbraes as Scotland take on Ireland in the Celtic Cup/Murphy Shield. Tapes up at 1pm.

    Sunday 31st October - The season ends with the Redbraes Invitational Open meeting. Tapes up at 1pm.

    The Edinburgh Falcons are pleased to announce that Pro Bowl will sponsor the 2010 Redbraes Open due to be held on 31st October 2010.  Tapes up at 12 noon.
     
    Pro Bowl is Scotland’s favourite family run ten pin bowling chain offering an excellent amenity to local communities in Kirkintilloch, Airdrie & Falkirk.  The latter two sites are the result of a recent expansion and can be found at Falkirk – 2 Red Brae Road, Camelon, Falkirk. FK1 4DD and Airdrie – 8 Manse Place, Airdrie. ML6 0AN.
     
    The 2010 Pro Bowl Redbraes Open is a return to Cycle Speedway for the popular recreational chain after backing the same individual event in 1999 & 2000.  The Edinburgh club have always held strong links with company founder Brian Sands and would like to thank him again for his continued support.

    Riders so far confirmed for the Open are the first four from last weeks Edinburgh Club Championships, Craig Newsome, Jake Slight, Johnny Murphy and Neil McPherson.  The Edinburgh quartet will be joined by Scottish rising stars Nathan Groves (Birmingham) & Josh Colby (Norwich).  Further Riders to be confirmed over the new few days.

    A winner takes all prize of £100 is up for grabs for this Sundays (31st Oct, 12 noon) Pro Bowl Redbraes Individual Open.
     
    The line up now includes Irish International Team Manager Gary Colby, Scottish International Team Manager Gav Kennedy and Scottish Internationalists Richard Hunt and Mike Hewitson.  Further riders will be named over the coming days.
