    Doesn't need to be a formal group/organisation.

Scotmid will also give you money without too much fuss, especially if £400 or less. They gave our cinema in Balerno a very handsome donation but this was I think because they had money left over from the £700k they give away each year. We bought a fancy pants projector with the cash. I then applied a couple of years later for a replacement bulb and this was also granted. (£350)

Application forms are in the shops and you can apply on-line. They have quarterly meetings so can come quite quickly after you apply or about three months later dependent on timing.

Scotmid is affiliated to the co-op and buys co-op produce but it is different from the co-op in that it originated in Edinburgh not near Manchester. There is considerable debate about the first ever co-op. Some even suggesting it was weaver's in fenwick.
