    Anyone used these weird looking things?

    I really suffer the cold in my hands and my last winter gloves are falling apart - so I bought these on the strength of some good reviews.

    They look and feel very odd - but I believe that the concept of keeping more than one finger together does work (I dont use mittens for skiing, but have friends that swear by them)

    I will report back once it starts to get chilly !

    I think Kaputnik had some and found them inadequate?

    My lobster gloves work brilliantly for me and I suffer from very cold hands (wear full fingered gloves almost all year round). They do look a bit odd though...

    @sallyhinch

    good article !

    My hands suffer in a similar way, its a constant search for warmth.

    Heres hoping these work better than normal ones as 'some reports' suggest it could be a cold winter.

    I have them and I love them! Like @sallyhinch my hands are very sensitive to the cold to the point of being very painful.

    They work (for me) but it's worth mentioning I have small hands and the small size is still quite roomy on me so perhaps more warm air around them helps?

    Aldi had some in their recent cycle event - I didn't get any because I found some conventional gloves that looked more like what I was looking for.

    *and I sprayed mine with waterproof spray so warm hands even on cold, rainy rides.

    One of my pals has a pair of lobster mittens and she says they are brilliant. Tempted to get a pair myself...

    As far as I know, Trek created the original lobster gloves.

    I've been using the Specialized Lobster gloves since about 2002. They're my last resort gloves for when a) it's really cold b) my Sealskinz Ultragrips aren't warm enough, and c) there's too much snow/traffic to make the torpedo viable.
