    Surprised I can't find a previous thread.

Hidden Door 2016 will take place from 27 May – 4 June. The festival will once again see disused buildings transformed into live music venues, theatre spaces, bars, a cinema, and a multitude of art exhibition and installation spaces. We’ll be announcing more details of the venue in November.

9-day programme will consist of both an Open Programme and an Invited Programme, which will be curated and scheduled together.

To get things rolling, we are today launching our Call for Proposals for the Open Programme, welcoming proposals from ARTISTS, POETS/WRITERS, and THEATRE PRACTITIONERS.

The deadline for proposals is Sunday 29 November.

Now Hidden Door Festival has been given the go-ahead to take over a disused council depot for a second year.

That's good, but it shows once again that CEC isn't great at using its unwanted assets - like selling them when it's short of money...

The similar stables or cellars under Jeffrey street filling up nicely. I had a sandwich from one (hummus and grilled veg) for cheaper than marks and Spencer's well £3.50 but was filling. Meat dearer which is how it should be.

Very nice chap working there, noticed he had his racer padlocked to a bollard, asked him if he wanted a rack, indeed all the arches could do with a rack, he said yes, I said in my finest Jarvis cocker impersonation, I'll see what I can do.

The annual Hidden Door Festival, which specialises in transforming run-down sites into temporary venues, has announced plans to join forces with a trust which wants to secure the long-term future of the Ferry Road building.

Historic Scotland are doing their annual St. Andrews Day ticket giveaway thing for the weekend of 26/27th November. You can get free tickets to a number of their sites using above link (first come first serve basis), I managed to get us Edinburgh Castle ones and save a lot of entry fee in the process.

Think limit is 2 adults + 3 children per application.

Now one of Edinburgh’s leading festivals has revealed plans to transform one of the city’s most distinctive office buildings for an “immersive” event inspired by the natural world and the impact of climate change.

Yeah, this open-doors "hidden underground venue" (?!) is basically advertising for a giant car park that shouldn't exist in any contemporary city centre
