Fantastic Claire - once you've got the details nailed down, let me know so I can add it to the site.

Any time spent by anyone between now and April 22nd handing out POP flyers to passing cyclists will not be wasted...

Our receptionist was happy to pop flyers for my friends business in the mailboxes of all the companies in our building, she might do the same for PoP flyers...

I've just seen our school's latest newsletter and they've taken my suggestion of an article telling parents about POP.

Still time to get one in your school's...

If the long range forecast for the next few weeks is at all accurate, we're in line for a spell of nice settled weather - just as spring is upon us.

This *should* mean a fresh crop of bikes & new cyclists appearing on the streets.

If you are keen to help and haven't done any handlebar flyering yet, now might be a good time to start...

Tucking rolled up preprinted flyers under bike saddles works too. As does accosting cyclists and handing them flyers (but that's not for everyone!)

    Hi there,

Will print off some handlebar flyers today. The universities would be my most obvious targets, but if folk have other suggestions i'd be happy to make a few trips around town over the weekend.

Excellent - thanks ReeBee and Wingpig. As to where best to flyer - others will know Edinburgh's bike hotspots better than me. I find it's good to keep them handy in my pockets from now on and attach them to any bike I find - especially away from the obvious hotspots. Supermarkets can be surprisingly good hunting grounds, for instance

    ooh thanks reebee.

George Square area & Kings bldgs usually well covered, but other campuses would be great - e.g. Pollock halls, geog, pleasance etc

i don't know about the other unis.

the hospitals usually have lots of full racks - would be great if someone could do ERI, Western General etc.

I could do the Western on the way home, but don't know how well-populated the racks would be then.

I have printed off some handlebar flyers. I will do Haymarket sometime, not immediately, no harm in having it done more than once I think.

If anyone fancies a trip to Lauriston Place, Bob's Barber Shop told me that they'd be very happy to have a poster for the window and a stack of leaflets. The leaflets have gone quickly in the past apparently, so a pile a few inches high would probably all be taken.

Haymarket and one block of Rose Street done. Also the few bikes that were tethered on Roseburn Terrace.

I'll do George Street/Rose Street next week.

    "

We have decided to join Pedal on Parliament 2016 to highlight the diversity of cycling options for people with sight loss issues. Cycling is a viable transport and leisure option for people with a wide range of disabilities. However, access to many cycle tracks is limited if you are riding a tandem, tricycle or any of a wide range of adaptive cycles. Talking Tandems ride mostly on quiet roads and accessible cycle paths but can face restrictions with many routes. We aim to inform politicians that cycling comes in many forms and that the government should cater for all cyclists.

I put some flyers on what bikes there were at the Commie on Monday - unfortunately it being a bank holiday there were not many bikes! This is a place that can afford plenty of flyering as there will be different people there at different times.

Is there a possibility that the PoP Magnificent graphic designer could create a pennant template?

I'm imagining a flag that's an isoceles triangle the size of a piece of A4 with the apex of the triangle in the middle of one of the short sides and the base of the triangle on the other short side. A two-sided design can then be printed double-sided to make a flag, laminated and mounted on a pole.

Here's a link to Andrew Burns's blog with a picture of such a flag...

I've started putting laminated posters up around the meadows. will spread out towards the new infra.

Also took handlebar flyers with me down Brunstfield place as far as Holy Corner on Thursday, but very few bikes out when I was there- could anyone else do a couple of runs down Morningside?

I usually also do some up and down George IV/Chambers st.

Hoping others can do some of the more far flung areas.

would anyone be able to flyer/chalk the NEPN this year? Last year I was up and down to the Western general, but health better this year so hoping not to be...

    also some mobile Propaganda:
