    just seen a pic. looks like it hit a car.

    over near the playpark/ summerhall /junction with Hope Park Crescent

    As in, it hit a moving car? Nasty... (I mean, moving cars have people in them. A damaged parked car is obviously not great for the owner of that particular vehicle, but isn't quite the same thing.)

    I have to go that way later. Looks like I'll be braving the leafslip on North Meadow Walk...

    you could probably just go up on the pavement or on south meadow walk?

    car appears to have just missed the worst. luckily west-bound side of the carriageway was empty.

    It looked as though everything was clear by the time I went through about 7:15pm. I went along NMW anyway, just to see how bad the leaves were, but came back along the road as usual. Could see the decent-sized branch on the grass near the pedestrian crossing at the eastern end of the Meadows.
