There's someone begging on MMW right at the junction with Sainsbury's/where you turn to go into George square. There was a woman there last week too. The current guy has his cup out on the cycle lane. I've moved it twice today and he just puts it back out. Strikes me as potentially dangerous, especially in the dark, especially as they seem to have taken it up as a semi-permanent spot.

Anyone have any advice? seems a bit petty to sit on 101 for, but suspect that's what i ought to do. wonder if Uni security would be any use?

As MMW is sort-of-technically-a-road, the obstruction thereof should be qualmlessly 101-able. Surely peds on the ped side are more likely to stop/donate than cyclists on the cycle side, anyway?

If you cycle through the cup, there will follow a traditional Edinburgh 'Penny Scramble!

  4. Maybe just asking them to move over to the ped side would work?
