Aurora?

    Supposedly aurora can be 'seen through patchy cloud' in Edinburgh.

    It's fog, where we are, not patchy cloud.

    But, to the north, the fog sure looks brighter than it did at 8am this morning.

    KP5 = Shetland
    KP6-7 = Central Belt

    Of course it's all moot if it's overcast :)

    It's currently KP7.7 according to the website, and yet I can't see anything other than cloud and moonlight.

    Keeping an eye on it for the next hour or so.

    I got all hopeful and am currently on Cramond prom looking at the lights of Fife.

    Clear overhead but cloudy to the North. :-(
