Nick doesn't half hate London's Cycle Superhighways, as you can hear. I apologise on his behalf in advance – he's a rude interviewer and it can be grating to listen to how he talks over those he disagrees with.

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Nick F pushes the myth that two lanes of traffic are faster forgetting that the inner lane will always have people trying to park or double park. Or change lanes.
As far as city deliveries are going the drive by Yodel / Deliveroo etc is to make people get paid so little that it will soon be impossible for 'white van revolution man' anyway. (Nick F phrase I hadn't been aware of). 'They' don't care how it's done - which may seem good but without environmental zones London could go like Bejing. (It did a bit last year I think?)
That isn't the fault of the tiny percentage of bike / moped based delivery people or bike lanes. That's caused by almost everyone believing that a delivery can be done for 'free' without hurting the drivers standard of living and the environment.
Jeremy Clarkson hacked off, so that's a good sign
After a long and dreary drive down the M1 last weekend, the sat nat said I had just six miles to go. And even though it would be six miles across London, I figured that in half an hour I would be kicking off my shoes and sitting back to spend the rest of the day watching television and eating chocolate.
So would you like to guess how long it actually took to cover those six miles? No, I'm sorry, but you're not even close. It was two hours and 35 minutes.
I have never seen so many roadworks and cones and temporary traffic lights and buses on diversion. And in every single one of the endless snarl-ups there'd be an Uber driver in his infernal Toyota Prius making everything worse. Or a senior citizen in a Peugeot. And every single rat run I took was festooned with speed bumps and width restrictions and dead ends and more Uber drivers pootling about while under the influence of God knows what. Not speed, though, that's for sure.
It's a fairly typical story these days. Everywhere you go, the roads are being turned into cycle ways and bus lanes and pedestrian zones…..
(Sunday Times, 7.2.16)
So – London private single occupancy cars being pushed aside by public transport, cycle ways and speed restrictions. Those 6 miles could have been done in 1/5 of two hours and 35 minutes.
And what's bad news for a petrol head like Clarkson is good news for the rest of us.
