Cav was sixth in the omnium at this event when he was required to be third to get Olympic selection. Cav and wiggo were sixth in Beijing Madison in 2008 when expected to win. Some suggestion his performance in this Madison will see him selected for Olympics (cav).

The first two thirds of the Madison were painful. Even if we knew their strategy was to go late, I really didn't think they'd do it. When they did finally go, it was amazing. And then Cav crashing. Epic stuff.
