Nada Shawa will be heading out from Craigleith on NCN1 to raise money for Freedom From Torture charity. The NCN is a good route for mobility scooter. She may have a few people with her so be aware. Dalmeny Estate too rough.
She leaves Craigleith Retail area at around 10.30am Saturday. Donation links here in article. Good example of how traffic free routes aren't just for cyclists.

News from Nada: she made it out to North Queensferry in good time, and raised around double her fundraising goal, and had a great journey out. Excellent weather for it yesterday.
Hello to LaidBack and friend who bumped into us at Craigleith while we were trying to find her!

"Hello to LaidBack"
That counts as "Spotted"!

Calluna was at the playpark where the cycle access to the giant car park at Craigleith disappears.
Embarrassingly I hadn't been briefed on exact meeting spot. Thanks to Caluna though we knew Nada hadn't managed to leave so tracked her + cycle outriders down. Speeches were made before the private security arrived to chuck us out for being disrespectful to Saturday morning commerce.
Great that now the NCN1 has been widened in places so that a bike can now pass a mobility scooter.Posted 8 years ago # -
Is it very bad that I assumed from the thread title that this would be about very small people on two wheels?
