    Hi,
I'm interested in buying a cargo bike as I have a 8 month old daughter and as she gets older I would like cycling to be our main mode of transport (as it is for me at the moment). Cargo bikes are a huge investment therefore I want to make sure I'm getting the right one for me. I have tried out an Urban Arrow and will be trying out a Nihola soon. Does anyone have any other cargo bikes in Edinburgh that wouldn't mind me having a go on them? I'm keen to try a bakfiets cargo bike short.
Also if anyone has a cargo bike and kids and have any tips for me that would be great too!
My daughter and I will hopefully be going to POP so maybe we can chat to some cargo bike users there!
    Thanks

I think there will be a family bike-curious workshop at the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling again this year. Not till June but lots of different bikes to try and very knowledgable families!

I've a Larry v Harry Bullitt, which can be configured with a canopy and double child seat.

Happy for you to take a spin on it - mine is current configured as a simple flat bed.

The Bike Curious Family Workshop is back at the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling on 19 June (10 til 12)

This year we'll be at Bangholm Outdoor Centre as the playground at Sciennes Primary has been developed.

I'm looking for lovely families on bikes to come along again and talk to people with children that would like some advice on cycling, and to check out their equipment. Can anyone help me?? I can offer cake and eternal thanks in return..

I'm sure you'll get lots of takers.

I presume you'll be able to confirm that the gate from/to the NEPN will be open(?)

Now in use near Haddington. There is a slow trend towards transport alternatives that are not related to cycling as a sport. This Babboe didn't come via us (sadly) but was inspired by the Urban Arrow so we did have a chat about the spec. The user takes two children up a hill. Mum regularly carries them and friends so can take four. The Mountain uses a neat Yamaha mid-drive motor which is the equal of the Bosch. Like the UA it also has NuVinci gearing and hydraulic disc brakes.
Reports from the new owner are very good. So still a good news story as the market should grow with more choices out there.

(Yes - the saddle needs to go level - I'll mention to her).
