    Folks,

ARobComp of this parish has asked me to put out a call for volunteers to marshal at Pedal On Parliament 2016 on the 23rd of April. Many of you have already done this in years gone by, but all are welcome.

    The duties?

    1) Turn up an hour early on a bike to get your hi-viz, briefing and instructions.
    2) Get into place on the route.
    3) Be nice to the nice people. Help whoever needs helped when it's reasonable.
    4) Report incidents to the Head Marshal if there are any.

    The benefits?

    1) Nice warm feeling.

We've had sixteen marshals in the past I think. Just reply here to express interest and do spread the word to your friends and colleagues.

Bumping this. We do need volunteers - PoP cannot go ahead unless we have enough marshals.

I can help - I have not been in touch with the Harrison Park Feeder Ride people, so I assume they are OK.

I should be ok to do this. Very few of the people whom I invited have bothered to accept this year (I will work on them!) so I don't feel as much of a need to marshal them.

I think I should be freer than last year so happy to marshal if you still need bodies.

Assuming I'm not needed to help with Tshirts, I'm more than happy to help Marshall once I have fed in my feeder ride.

I can help too, if you're still needing folk.

Outstanding, bicyclists! (I'll be unhooked from the internet for a week from tomorrow. ARobComp should be keeping an eye on this thread.)

See you all, and anyone else fancies it, at the crossroads on the Meadows at 11h00 or soon after...

I'm going to help with the Harrison Park feeder ride first, but am happy to make myself useful in/around The Meadows or wherever once it has got there.

Meant to post earlier that I am happy to help out again with marshalling this year. I was at the crossing at top of MMW, and it was quite a sight to see everyone coming past

You should all have had a PM from me (or you've been in touch already!) basically coming along with a feeder ride is fine.

Also everyone will set off alongside the rest of the protest so noone will miss out on the excitement of being the first off the line - even if you're heading to be the person at the parliament!

Message me - or drop a comment here if you want to get involved.

    @ARobComp I haven't recevied a PM (I have no feeder ride).

Have been AWOL for a while, but am definitely coming on Saturday and happy to marshall if you still need bodies. Had planned to come up with the last-minute twitter-organised feeder from Inverleith, and assume that should get me there by half 11 - if that's too late I can revise my plans!

@unhurt is there any more detail on the Inverleith ride other than the original tweets?

Nothing except a suggestion we meet behind by the bike sheds at Broughton High School - all still on Twitter!
