No surprises there. Aberdeen well below the bottom of the pile, somewhere near the Earth's core.
Not sure what a "warning area" is?

My boy (10 YO) said to me last night that he prefers cycling on the road to bike paths (which initially I found odd) until he explained that the roads actually 'go places' whereas the paths feel like 'places to go'.
Quite perceptive, and I kind of understand what he means, because even in this 'cycle friendly (sic) city', you usually need to use a road to get to any segregated paths (and unless you are going for a Sunday pootle, you will need to get back on a road to do anything meaningful).

Nelly - he has a point there. I would add as well that cycle paths often have broken glass on them (Saughton Park last night)and some have been made cycling unfriendly deliberately by the council (Broomhouse speed reduction measures)

It's a bit infuriating the spin that the cycling "Czar" uses to account for his figures - for example in the 310km of cycle lanes in Glasgow he's citing, he's including 80 odd km of bus lanes - all explained better here:

There is no doubt Eedinburgh is miles ahead of anywhere else in Scotland for cycling and we need to celebrate this and build on it.
WoL path, tow path and innocent all in use for me today

@gembo is the WoL path still closed for the landslide down Dean village way? Last time I went it was worse than I had ever seen it before...

@spytfyre yes it is (we were down that way on Sunday).

Spytfyre, good to hear from you, I have not been down that way since it reopened, but now it has re-closed? Fimm has confirmed.
