The contractors for the FRC are installing warning signs for the new bus lane from the A90, and guess where they've stuck the poles? Yes you've guessed it in the shared path. Near the golf course entrance there is a double pole arrangement halving the width of the path.
What stupid idiots approve these things?

FixMyStreet it and tweet the @[relevant geographical area]_team and @LAHinds before any cursory inspection is performed and the work passed.

"guess where they've stuck the poles? Yes you've guessed it in the shared path."

Isn't that what shared use paths are for? Why do you think the government is so keen on them?

Report this formally as a hazard?

I've reported it. The offending sign is warning of the "new road layout" so not really essential

This sh*t is going on all over the place where Transport Scotland contractors operate, especially AMEY affiliated areas.

I've made my complaints locally but there is no joined up thinking to stop it happening.

The truth is, this signposting is always one-sided with a grey reverse side, and should a cyclist on a shared use path be oncoming on the encroached grey reverse side, it could take his/her head clean off.

Thats not hyperbole. But truth is, they just dont give a sh*t.

When I explain it, i'm told "we can't please every one"

Transport Scotland, and their sub-contractors, are totally unaccountable, and if i'm wrong could someone please explain otherwise.
