I checked yesterday with social worker (keen cyclist), meeting on, I cycled to the school, got there to receive phone call to say meeting now cancelled. I then left the school and was COMPELLED to go into the nearby Aldi to buy lunch which WAs fine but somehow I also appear to have purchased a pair of trainers I do not want in electric blue. Surely I can claim this expense off the social work dept? They were £12.99

Don't forget to add the mileage to and from Aldi to the claim too.

Indeed, except since my big cycling pal retired last summer I have 't bothered with claiming mileage. When I saw him filling in his claim it used to inspire me to do the same. Now I have lost my mileage claiming mojo and am reduced to spurious random attempts to get the social work to pay for cheap Aldi trainers
