Ride London 100 anyone?

    Hi everyone, I've since moved away from Edinburgh. You might remember Mike (lionfish) and I. We are now living in Sheffield. Still cycling you'll be please to hear! (although I never want to hear an Edinburgh person complain about hills again!)

    Just wanted to see if anyone of you would be interested in doing Ride London. The charity I work for has got 6 places in the 100. https://www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/events/100/

    There is 2 weeks to the deadline so have dropped the fundraising target - as you lot are so lovely I thought I would post it here first. If London is a bit far and but you know people who might be interested. Let me know!

    Thanks Lyndsey! Maybe need more 'sport' cycling forums to advertise it in?

    chdot - off topic (already) but I've a few thoughts about cycling in Sheffield (and the 'scene'). I went along to the cycle sheffield's meetings a few times (they're the local campaign group). But it feels a little bit cliquey and felt a little bit unnecessarily heated, so I'm not really very involved. Anyway: they've got a closed forum that members chat in, but I was wondering if I should set up a citycyclingsheffield forum? In the hope that the positive effects of this forum will happen in Sheffield too! Just wondering what your thoughts are? How much time does it take to set up and run? How come this one is so active and friendly? Any other advice? :)

    @minimoth, I have a pal in London, we did the longer 180 miler of which the Surrey 100 is the southern half a while back. Also nicer with box hill etc. I have asked if he is interested? He found true love at an advanced age and does not cycle enough any more. What can you do?

    I will let you know if he bites (he would need to start training again)
