I stood next to her on the steps outside the Joyce museum in Dublin many years ago. Fragile and strong at the same time? Oh yeah and even more years ago than that I was in the pink elephant which was a Dublin nightclub and she was there and so was Kenny Rogers. True, but then it was the only nightclub in Dublin at the time.

Ah, the Pink Elephant, I remember it well, through a bit of a fog though of course.
Sinéad was always a fixture in and around Dublin's centre. Many's the time I'd be sitting in Bewley's as a student and she'd stride in wearing a long black coat. We would usually feign indifference and pretend not to see, just as we would when spotting Bono and other minor celebs.

I had no idea that 'Nothing compares 2 u' was written by Prince.

I'm glad she's OK.
I don't think I'd recognise any of Prince's output, but I do know her performance of "Nothing Compares 2 U".
