I'm clearing out the garage to make way for new arrivals, and this means my old Pompetamix commuter needs to go. It needs work (new chain, flat tyre, bearings everywhere are a bit grindy) so anyone who is willing to come around and pick it up from Currie is welcome to have it.

It's set up fixed with a Sturmey Archer drum brake / dynamo front hub. I'm including a pair of Marathon Winter tyres since I don't have any other bike they would fit on. If I can find it, I'll also throw in the front dynamo headlight (IQ Cyo) but no promises, as it hasn't turned up yet.

The bike comfortably takes SKS mudguards, tyres up to 700x35 at rear, 700x42 at the front, it's been a good workhorse.

Also selling a pair of 80mm carbon Planet X wheels with Vittoria Corsa CX tubs. Very low mileage (probably about 200 miles), I've kept these for a few years with the idea that I would get into TT, but I now accept I never will. Any sensible offer, buyer needs to check the tubs are still glued on properly after being stored in the back of the garage I think!

Easy for me to get to Currie and take it from your garage and put it in mine. If it can be pedalled away? In return if I still have it you might want a rucksack for putting a new arrival in? Needs a stitch and sits in my garage, though was earlier model so only some storage on the frame for wipes, jars of organix carrot etc just have the one but then you only got one back

Alas you wouldn't be able to ride it away without bringing pedals, and even then you'd have only your legs for brakes unless you bring some brake cable too :-)

    Swap would be cool!

Okay, a local chap from Harmeny runners has claimed the bike... wheels still kicking around though.

You can still have the rucksack though, if you want it
