Now that Jimmy chung's has gone where can people go for a massive self service Chinese buffet they don't want?

Next to citrus club? The name escapes me.

Cosmo, next to the playhouse.
Someone told me it was "really good, not at all like those Jimmy Chung places".
I went and begged to differ.
Only go if you are really hungry for middling quality high fat/sugar content grub, if so, then that's the place for you.

We have a colleague in London who loved the place and insisted we all went there for dinner when he was up. The first few plates stimulated a feeling of "it's edible, but nothing to write home about" and it was all downhill from there.
It's basically a Jimmy Chungs with a more global menu and an interior done up to George Street standards.
I think there's still an all you can eat Chinese opposite the Lyceum.

P.S. Wetherspoons or not, I do like the look of that North British Railway mosaic on the pub floor. I don't know if it's original to the building or was moved there from another location.
If you look around the "new" (1897) station you can see the crest in the stonework of the central booking hall in a few places. It is the coat of arms of Edinburgh and Berwick, which was the original route of the NBR before it hugely expanded and swallowed the other stations in the Waverley site (the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway - "North Bridge Station" - and the Edinburgh, Leith and Granton Railway - "Canal Street Station")

Cosmo is alright IMHO, Michelin-starred it ain't but as buffet-style restaurants go it's decent enough, and a good idea for a mixed group as there is something for everyone.
