Do you have or want to have bike repairing skills?
Do you want to use these while working towards a good cause?

We are looking for volunteers to breathe life into abandoned and unloved bikes that will then be distributed amongst Scotland's refugees, focusing on Edinburgh and Glasgow. The bikes are in various conditions and different levels of skill are welcome, as we support each other in our work to make sure that all bicycles that leave our workshop are safe and pleasant to use.

The Edinburgh branch of the project is based at the Wee Spoke Hub which is part of the student cooperative Swap and Reuse Hub.

We meet in our well-stocked workshop downstairs on Wednesdays between 5pm and 8pm.

Our address is 13 Guthrie Street, EH1 1JG

If you are interested, please respond to this thread!

    All the best

@JOA1991 I was involved in organising a 'lock swap' with Sustrans at Heriot-Watt this week. As a result, I have a pile of old, but mostly decent quality, functional locks that we have planned to donate to charity - would you be interested in taking them as part of bikes for refugees?
