@hankchief from your position on MCC how do you think the idea of Child Friendly Edinburgh will go down?

This is an idea about emphasising how we work to meet the needs of children, their families and their communities delivered through schools.

The majority of the council budget is spent on education. Schools are about helping to produce the citizens of the future.

Do you think the MCC would embrace such a headline? Obviously some people do not have children but that might not stop them trying to be friendlier towards them?

One hook might be the need for an army of care workers in the future to look after the members of the MCC.

Sometimes if you find the right hook, the scales fall away.

For example people I know who resisted the 20mph zones switched to liking them when I used the 70per cent chance of a child surviving being hit by a driver's car at 20mph but 70 per cent chance of dying when they are hit at 30mph.

Hooks is what I am looking for, any ideas welcome.

Friends of Roseburn Park have set up this public meeting on cycling in Roseburn Park on Monday 8th at 3.30pm 4.30pm at Murrayfield View Retirement flats Common Room, Roseburn Place.

"All welcome. Your chance to let Council cycling officer Martyn Lings hear your views on the Cycle path trial in Roseburn Park"

"The Council are not ruling out extending the white lining so that it runs right through the park. If you feel this would not be a good idea, its important you feed back to say this. Also if you don’t like the existing trial lines and surfacing. FoRP are concerned that the path is not wide enough, and zoning areas exclusively for cyclists/ pedestri-
an could lead to conflicts, as dogs can run into the path of cyclists. Indeed, some say cyclists go faster, some say it’s led to less friction with walkers. What do you think?

Hang on so they spent £30k on a trial which they're going to rip out half? And the half that's remaining is only a problem as long as the toilet block is kept.

Rearranging the deckchairs while the Titanic sinks...

    New slow markings and signage

Yeah, if you feel the need to put signage up, you know your infra is garbage.
