well-to-do Stockbridge – recently named best place to live in Britain

Really ? I may be moving back there after leaving many years ago and I can't say I'm hugely looking forward to it.

I like to think of all parked cars as "abandoned". They're all just metal boxes taking up space and doing nothing at that moment in time.

So, in summary, "when is an abandoned car not abandoned?" "when it's MY car".

"If they were moved that would free up some spaces."

So you could dump your car there.

What's the difference? A space taken up by a car is a space taken up by a car.

At least the cars that have been there for months aren't moving around and contributing to the air pollution problem.

Private land = up to landowner

Taxed and on public land = it's parked legally

Taxed and within parking restrictions = council issue.

Untaxed on public land = DVLA to deal with

    simples

Can check tax and MOT on DVLA website
