Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

From memory I think it was put in for hunting parties. Pre-war, pre-Landrover?
Other discarded infrastructure in this area is an early ski-lift on Mount Blair. Not sure if anything remains. The Devil's Elbow was often blocked in winter. Now by-passed.
Ah, was it Glas Tulaichean you climbed? I've walked the route I'm assuming you went, but I have no recollection of the railway!

Mount Blair

Thanks all. Knew you folk were my best bet for railway info.
@fimm - yes, Climbed Glas Tulaichean - railway path lets you avoid fording the river twice, which is handy, as the kids struggle to keep their feet dry. We did the fords on the way back for fun :)
