  3. Not a bad idea, though bit of a pain to get to with a bare frame.... (at least, without a cargobike and not wanting to take the car...)

    Just a frame?

    That's what shoulders are for.

    (Loose fit forks for transit.)

Or the bus, or a bike trailer.

Or have you forgotten that you borrowed my headset press once before? :-)

1 x largest, longest coach bolt you can find (B&Q carry a suitable size). 1 x suitable nut. 4 x suitably drilled square plate washers that are wider than your headset cups.

bolt 2 x washers on either side of the headset. tighten the bolt and nut using suitable spanners.

    Worked for me.

  8. Shoulders - ironically I guess, given this is the new cross race frame, don't want to run the risk of damaging it en route, plus I can't make Saturday, so would have to be a Wednesday night, so would have to ride to work, then go on the way home.

Bus - Just. Can't. Stand. The. Bus.

    Trailer - Ain't got one.

Homegrown option - see risk of damage.

Arellcat, I did remember, but didn't want to be presumptuous, but if the offer was there :)

Davey, cheers, can I have you as back up?

Yes, this was on an old 80 quid steel frame from ebay, I'd certainly want to be less cavalier with your shiny new toy.

@WC - if you fancy moving the frame to the press, you're welcome to borrow the Bullitt...

WC, it's no bother. You can buy me a hot chocolate. :) PM me if you want to arrange time/place.
