    Hello folks,

Cycling UK Scotland is running a free Learn then Ride course for women looking to improve their skills and confidence on the bike. Held at Bangholm Outdoor Centre, the sessions will be on safe, off road environment and taught by female cycle trainers. The only caveat is that we ask for attendees to come along to at least four sessions to get the most out of the course.

If you know any female friends, family or colleagues that are looking to get back on the bike again, maybe this is just what they need to get cycling. This is also suitable for women that currently can't ride a bike and want to learn.

The course starts on 31 July and runs on various weekdays and Sundays until the end of September so there are plenty sessions to book into.

    Thanks :)

Thanks, I've passed it on to a friend who has been hinting at trying to (re?)learn how to ride a bike for some time. Maybe this will help her.

Are there any similar courses or groups in England? My Father in Law's Wife is very nervous riding here hired bike in Holland and I was wondering if there were courses she could attend where she would get close support in Nottingham.

    Cheers, Dave C

Hi Dave, the Big Bike Revival is operating across England at the moment - there may be something nearby that is helpful? I know there are a lot of activities and events planned to help people get back on their bikes, improve skills etc.

Just to add my thanks too, Claire. Have also passed this on to a friend who's very nervous to get back to cycling following a bit of a spill some time ago. Hopefully she'll be inspired to give it a try :)

    Hello folks,

Due to the popularity of the Women's Learn then Ride sessions in Feb/March, the Edinburgh Belles and The Big Bike Revival are offering another free course for women looking to build cycling confidence in April. This might be of interest to some?
