Any suggestions to what a reasonable asking price for a 2010 58cm Surly Long Haul Trucker would be?

It's in good nick with only a 300 odd miles on it with the usual selection of cosmetic damage.

All stock components barring the mudguards, tubus racks (front and back), brooks b17, cane creek levers (and brakes) mounted on on-ones flared handlebars.

Think asking for £300 is a bit much for it? Want to sell it on to someone who will actually use it and not just sit in my folks shed.

Compare spec + condition, then price it -

Would have thought £300 a bit low when the frameset and B17 alone wouldn't be far off that. £450-£500?

    (1) Put an advert on gumtree and then argue with people that phone up looking to buy it.

    (2) Anyone that does turn up, make them think they are doing YOU a favour.

Oh, sorry I get it now, your thread is about selling a bike

    :-)

I agree with wingpig, £300 is definitely too low. IMO the stock bike would be worth more than that; but with the extra rack, mudguards and some nice contact points it's definitely worth starting higher.

Of course, others may disagree about the resale value of second hand, third hand, etc bikes.

Thanks for the advice folks! I'll chuck it on gumtree for a bit more then.
