    Hi,

Has anyone done this C2C ?

    http://www.sustrans.org.uk/shop/route-maps-guides/ultimate-scottish-c2c-guide

I had a go at the first third down to Peebles yesterday got horribly lost several times - ran out of time and gave up.

Anyone got the gpx or similar they can share ?

    thanks.

I can't help beyond Peebles, but the route as far as Innerleithen looks like a version of the Edinburgh - Innerleithen part of this:

The whole thing looks like a great idea.

It's not mapped in the Openstreetmap data yet as far as I can see (quick check). See:

If someone cycles it and can provide me with an accurate gpx file (or equivalent) I'm happy to help to add it to OSM. Note that for copyright reasons this would almost certainly need to be a file provided by a personal survey/trip, not one copied from another website.

DaveC was on the inaugural ride a few years back:

From that thread (might be out of date now):

it is 'on' this coming weekend.

    Aldi thermals at the ready.

    Forecast looks reasonable.

John said it would be ~5 years before all the routes would be up and running, with work carried out annually by volunteer working parties.

Done. Was marvelous. Weather obliged, only 30mins of snow followed by 15 of light rain. Even warmed up to -2degs at some points on the Sunday.

The route is a bit of a faff around Dalkeith and in Musselburgh the signs were very confusing, but close enough to just follow the coast on to path #1.

Highly recommended, although we didn't really follow much (hardly any) of the suggested route, but instead went an alternate route out of Lockerbie via the Samye Ling buddhist Monastery. Well worth a visit.

Will do the reverse when its a bit warmer.
