wingpig, when your young one is over the worst get them to enter a competition to win a buff. That's how I got mine. But seriously, kids with colds are a miserable experience all round.

My miracle discovery - CALNIGHT/CALCOUGH - paracetemol with antihistimine - a half dose before bedtime when a cold is on does wonders to prevent night-time coughs caused basically by runny noses. Beats standing in a steamy shower with miserable child at 3am (although the two can be combined in bad cases!).
