There have been reports of thefts from Trimetal cycle stores which involved simply ignoring the locks and cutting the hasps.

My locks failed over time, and had to be cut off with an anglegrinder - which took very little time.

So I've replaced them with a Masterlock 6270 which hides the hasp. It remains to be seen if they survive the Edinburgh climate better than the originals, but they will be substantially more difficult to cut off if they do fail!

It feels a bit loose on the hasp, but I'm not unduly worried.

One of the reasons I prefer the Asgard range of sheds as they have shrouds over the locks.

Mind you, I'm not sure how well they would stand up to an angle grinder.

With a grinder and a bit of time you could probably just cut through the door all the way around the lock. See i.e. the top of this van: http://www.autodefence.co.uk/user/Van%20Theft.png

There's a limit to what you can do. Friends of ours had their garage robbed, the thieves put hooks on the garage door and tore it down with their van. I was thinking that no matter how secure our garage door was, eventually it would just pull down the wall and the door together :O

Yep, the angle grinder will make short work of the shed, but at least it's not so easy to use the bicycle thief's standard issue bolt croppers...

We still have issues with thieves up to this date that's why I became concerned with my bike's safety.

I bought Asgard Acccess Bike sized 7x3 from http://whatshed.co.uk/bike-sheds/ I read reviews first and I was impressed by the quality rating of 9.
I can say this shed was built for security maybe because of the galvanized steel plus the two locks making it safe all night.

Though it took almost a month before it was delivered, customer service said they don't want to suffer quality.. and they're right. worth the wait.

I have Asgard access and, although it's an impressive bit of it, it has been broken into once.

They cut through he lock cover on mine and then were able to cut one of the staples. They didn't touch the lock.

With one side lose they got enough access to cut the other staple without cutting the lock cover, but it looks like they did try.

This was all done with bolt cutters, no angle grinder.

I was able to repair the shed with spares from Asgard. The replacement lock covers that they sent were beefier than the old ones but the staple looked the same.
