Was also seen hooning up and down the NEPN.

Impressive pic... just shows how flimsy a caravan is, though...

Or how much energy there is in a 2-3 ton vehicle doing motorway speeds on a residential road...

He was trying to go round a very shallow corner very fast. Would have gone through a living room at that speed. He'd already hit a car or 2 on the way to the caravan!

Good job no one was killed, frankly. NEPN busy with folk cycling in when he was joyriding up and down it.

No one was at fault here, it was the car wot done it:

...a car swerved off the road...

Yikes! Hadn't realised the driver had been on the NEPN. Scary.

“Neighbours have said the car was doing about 70mph out of the junction, being chased by the police.”

    "

If true, yet another reminder that police are not sticking to the 'no chase except in exceptional circumstances' rules.

The Record has witnesses suggesting the police were not pursuing the 'land rover' at speed.

The car involved was described as a “brand new Mercedes”

I hardly know one car from another, but it doesn't look like a LR.

Indeed it is a brand new Mercedes, but could be mistaken for one of the various and similarly non-descript new smaller land rover/range rover things that seem to be popular.

Monstrous black 4x4 with blacked out windows, racing tyres and large blacked alloy rims, being driven without a care for humanity? I'd mistake it for a Range Rover too.

At least the scrote concerned won't have been able to torch the car and destroy the evidence.

It was indeed. I was passed by it while I was cycling into town.

Well this is one way of describing them...

    "

Inquiries are on going to trace the two outstanding suspects.

Probably doesn't possess a driving licence anyway, so the court will hand out the usual punishment of banning him from driving for 12 months. Place your bets.

Oh well, he'll get caught pretty quickly then. Always satisfying when criminals are really that stupid.

The defendant spoke only to confirm his name, accept his three month driving ban and have his parking validated.
