Sorry I couldn't stop this morning - came up MMW about 9.10 and saw some folk inside, but had to keep going to prep for 9.30 meeting...

A hypothesis was put forward that the classy little plinths with your number on it that Peter's yard used to have have all been purloined by recent new arrivals to the university forcing them to use scabby paper cups.

My latte macchiato tasted of hot milk no matter how vigorously I stirred it but maybe the Cuban stuff I have been drinking at home is so powerful that I have lost tastebuds? (£3.60 per half pound from the better beverage company of Morrison street - hole in the wall near thomson's bar that looks closed all the time but opens 11-3 mon-fri and 11-2 Saturday's or on line if you do not want the best banter available in Edinburgh). Because I was in baba budan at the arches later in the day with eldest daughter and their truly excellent capuccino also tasted a little weak. Daughter had peppermint tea and the sand timer they gave her for infusion period flowed up the way which was neat.
