This is very unfortunate. I'd hate to be forced to replace my bikes as a result of theft. Hope he's reunited with his bikes, or the cops at least get a lead on who stole them.
For some inexplicable reason I made the fatal error of reading the comments. The cynical part of me now wonders whether the Chipwrapper only runs 'Bicycles stolen' stories purely to keep their anti-cyclist readers suitably exorcised via the comments.

Happily, after the Evening News reported his story, Scott recovered three of the bikes when they were spotted by a dog walker dumped on a patch of Penicuik wasteland.One kind-hearted Evening News reader even offered to lend Scott a £500 bike while he tried to replace those taken. “It really does show the worst and best of human nature,” said Scott.
