Didn't see a thread for this so starting one. It closes 4th November so be quick

    "
The Western Edinburgh Neighbourhood Partnership, Corstorphine Community Council and the City of Edinburgh Council are running a Placemaking Exercise in Corstorphine to find out what the good and bad things are about living and working in Corstorphine"

    https://consultationhub.edinburgh.gov.uk/sfc/corstorphine-placemaking-online-survey/

Q1 is "Can I easily walk and cycle around using good quality routes? "

Lots of places to put your own suggestions.

    Done.

Made lots of comments about motor-domination, pollution, noise, canyon-effect, feeling unsafe on the pavements, bus-lanes (should go back to all-day/weekends), etc.

    Good list.

    (Doesn't even mention cycling!)

It's well worth filling this in. As mentioned previously, a few of us attended Corstorphine CC last month and were very encouraged by their attitude, especially to environmental problems in the area. More responses to this exercise will give more weight to that.

I sent this to my folks, they had no idea about it. My mum said she had been "frank" with her comments.

    The results are in

Lots of comments about how bad the cycling infrastructure is (although not capturned that well in the summary)

Results are on the agenda for the next CCC meeting. Will be asking why online comments not reflected in the visual summary...

Hi there, myself and a few other students are currenlty studying marketing management at Napier University. This includes working together with scottish enterprise to create a new marketing plan for the town of corstorphine, with the aim to attract new people to the area. This will hopefully attract new business, and boost leisure time including the zoo and other landmarks. For this marketing plan we thought creating questionnaires for the people of Corstorphine to answer, would be a good idea to get first hand information on what the residents think of their town. These responses would be a huge help to our project and we would be grateful for any. Thank you.

Lots of good questions about cycling and walking

Sorry about this - trying to find the link itself whilst on my phone is a nightmare.

What about if you go through the tweet about it...

Nah, his link says "Survey closed" too. Maybe limited to a certain number of reponses.

"@hank_chief @CorstorphineCC I believe they hit their survey target earlier than planned so are probably now collating responses."

Good to see so many people caring about the future of Corstorphine...
