I realise this is a bit high-brow for this forum, but did anyone watch this?

I really enjoyed the pitching of a new safety "gilet" to the cycling retailers, by telling a story of how if you don't wear it you will die and you'll only have yourself to blame. Not a pleasant insight into a random set of people's views about cycling and road safety.

Also one of the eejits candidates had to ride a bike - he didn't look all that comfortable on his ill-fitting bike to me, as he cycled off the pavement onto a sideroad.

    We are big apprentice fans.

Lord Sugar is famous for the "situational awareness" gaffe:

So not really surprising he's promoting hi-viz.

Haven't seen this episode yet, but will check back on this thread later (to avoid seeing any spoilers)

argh edd1e_h - hope I haven't spoiled it for you.

Sorry too chdot to offend, but it is a highly sophisticated and advanced study of extreme business acumen which takes a great deal of learning to understand.

Can't say I was all that interested in either product, the muppets candidates did a terrible job promoting either but if you were trying to sell the gilet to the family of a cyclist thats the way to do it. The gilet actually wasn't a bad product though if you're like me a very allergic to high viz.

I saw it. The projects were like watching slow-motion car-crashes so perhaps they did contribute in a small way towards making the roads safer.

Highlights: Kickstarter campaign spelling gilets wrong. Multi-buy discounts for 12 units and 120 units set at the same rate. Oh and the creative dance depiction of a driver hitting a cyclist.

@Cyclingmollie Greggs on Gt Junction Street used to have a sign on their counter saying 25p for a doughnut or £1 for 4. Cunning ruse or fundamental arithmetic problems?

Now watching the bit I prefer the programme that comes on afterwards and takes the piss. The apprentice you're fired

Watched this modern Bedlam last night. Baffled as to why they spurned the monkey faces for scooters. I'd buy that, but I wouldn't buy a gilet with lights. Can't quite figure out what season and situation it's intended for.

The mummers silently killing each other in slow motion on a station concourse was genius, just in the wrong programme.

The cycling headphones did not seem that great an idea either, although I suppose if people are going to cycle with head phones better than normal ones.

In last night's episode the team challenge to find ten items overnight in London led Team Nebula to a shop that, over the phone, claimed to stock both black soap and a tagine. These turned out to be tomato soup and tahini. Needless to say they lost.

Yum. In this episode the women seemed to be listened to a bit more. Not that it made any difference.
