I run 23s and just have room for a narrow 25 under the mudguards.
I'd appreciate any knowledge on tyres in those sizes that have a dynamo track if such exist.

Schwalbe Marathons have a ribbed dynamo track on the side at just the right point. Available in both 23 and 25.
Thanks. German tyres had been my first thought but the Schwalbe site implied that not all sizes necessarily had the track.
I've ridden 28c Marathons and they have the track. I used to run a bottle dynamo so it was handy. To be honest I'm not sure if 25s or 23s do, but I imagine they would.
Wow. I had no idea you could still get tyres with a dynamo track.
It must be a vestigial feature I'm sure.
There is still, I believe, legislation in Germany that requires non-racing bikes to be fitted with front and rear lights from new - mostly with dynamos. On cheaper bikes, this is still done with bottle dynamos, as opposed to hubs, and so German tyre brands (especially Schwalbe with their huge range of touring and town bike tyres) still make tyres with dynamo tracks.
This is also the reason that German brands make the best dynamos and dynamo lights (Busch and Muller, Schmidt etc).
