On EU junket, can say traffic not great on Malta but it does have some segregated paths. Gozo has less traffic. I hired a bike at the harbour and cycled about 12 km to the sea arch called The Azure Window. Then down to The inland sea which is a lagoon formed by tunnel in the cliff face. If you snorkel through the tunnel the continental shelf drops away sharpish. Divers I am told, love this kind of thing. Cyclists also love Gozo, not maybe novice cyclists but crabby old cyclists like us. Helmets not obligatory.
Eu junket was about refugees and I went via Charles de Gaulle where my luggage went awol so I was two days in just the clothes I arrived in. A bit like a refugee, except I just bought some new clothes and as I was going via CDG, I had a change of smalls as no one should go through CDG without spare smalls.
