I kind of enjoyed this and hopefully it encourages some to take up cycling (cos it's on mainstream tele with celebrities?).

However I thought the trainers were weak on some aspects:
    - no apparent training on cycling in traffic or with other cyclists.
    - getting one person to learn to cycle almost from scratch on a race bike (not the most stable type) and forcing clip-ins on them way to early given their level of confidence.

The big lesson I got was that one of them got run off the road by a van. Where's the 1.5m passing space?

I've watched episode 1 on catch-up and have mixed feeling about it. There was some stupid stuff that @amir mentions above and I got a bit tired of Louie after a while. There were a few too many 'oh this is horribly dangerous and we'll die' moments.

On balance, though, I think there were some good messages in there. We had one celeb say he was hooked and addicted already. We saw people buzzing from an exciting ride and saying what fun it was, and we saw some shots of the celebs really flying along the road, where I thought to myself 'Yes! That's what cycling can be like and why so many people enjoy it"

Probably worth a watch, if you can restrain yourself from too much shouting at the telly.
