By the book "cycling safety" campaign from Skoda

    ADvertised to me on the youtubes.

    Hopefully they've targeted this specifically to "cyclists" so that people who wouldn't know better won't see it.

    One weird thing is "when pulling off at traffic lights, check over your shoulder before pulling off" - I sort of thing you should be taking primary position if you're that worried about someone trying to left hook you.... Surely it'd be better to advise that...

    Totally agree about shoulder checking at lights - I think showing any signs of not moving off at a green light makes a left or right hook more likely, not less.

    Also don't see the point of establishing eye contact at junctions with drivers in front - it's the ones behind you have to worry about IMO.

    Seems to be an advert for a new channel 5 reality TV show. Skoda must be a sponsor.
