Edinburgh has 2nd shortest average ride (behind Glasgow).
Was there some big 9/11 memorial event on which meant that it's the most active day, or is it a coincidence that it pops up so much in "most active day" stats?
I enjoyed that more than was reasonable for a slide deck.
I was wondering about September too, How many New Yorkers riding away from the city would it take to skew the worldwide results over just a normalally busy Sunday.
I speculated last year (I think) that Edinburgh's commuting results are likely skewed by its large number of cycle commuters and compact layout meaning we get a lot of fairly small commutes.
Great North Run was on 11th September this year.
