Despite that I used to routinely extend my commute over this bridge, I can't visualise any of the changes people are talking about! Has nobody got a camera phone?

The main thing that used to annoy me was going west, it felt a bit brave sometimes going head on with traffic coming from Kirkliston assuming they were on a one-way road already. And then you had to have your eyes open cycling across the slip road exit (for traffic westbound on A90 coming off to go to Kirkliston).

As if to predict Dave's question I managed to get out of bed early enough on Monday to take a trip over. If you go to:

Then it should be possible to go forward and backwards through the pics.

    Oooh, thanks @chrisfl.

If I've understood properly, the issue is best seen in this image: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?focus=photo&pKey=XQwitmRfShCynmYhKfUY6U&lat=55.971457740413086&lng=-3.327112681759928&z=17

Cyclists coming east over the bridge (towards the camera in above link) and wanting to turn left have to come all the way to the dropped kerb in the foreground, then perform a hairpin turn? Have I got that right?

Yes, or they can go another couple of yards and pull a U in the entrance to the estate. The other option is to go up the drop kerb before the junction and cross the slip road, albeit a few feet before the give way line so you'd have to give way to any traffic coming up the road.

    thats right enough frenchy, aye

or take the desire line right through where the bus is, to a dropped kerb inhospitably located way behind the give way markings

which is what i do on my rounds two or three times daily
