You can get Eurosport on the TVPlayer app( available on all your mobile devices as well as Amazon Fire stick for £4.99/month- also includes many other channels)

I watch Eurosport mainly for its coverage of the Dakar rally. Like SRD my feed is from Virgin.

It used to show all sorts of other good stuff – the Rachau Hill Climb (since disbanded), the Europa Truck Trials, and the European Tractor Pulling Championships. I now have to tune in to "MotorsTV" to watch the last one. :-/

To be honest arellcat, you are not selling that channel to me. Virgin send me a letter at least once a week as we had a tele west box hanging off the woodwork in the house when we moved in. Mrs G immediately decreed it should be removed. Might solve our buffering issues though.

Eurosport only good if you have the leisure time to watch an entire day of Tour De France, Vuelta Espana, etc. I only have that time if I'm on holiday, and frankly if the weather's good I'd rather be out on the bike than inside watching pros on bikes.

ITV4 carries highlights of most cycling racing: TdF, Vuelta, Giro, and Tour Of Britain. It's free and has some great old movies on occasionally too.

Eurosport is only option for live ski racing though, so bad time of year for some to lose it.

    Eurosport's got a £19.99 1 year sub (usually £59.99) until the 31st.

    Not bad.

I've just watched a very pleasant film that I found in the bowels of Amazon Prime Video. It was called 'Bicycle', and featured Boardman, Burrows and all the usual suspects.

It ended on a wonderful moment as the presenter/director's daughter young daughter rode for the very first time and was extremely pleased when she did it.

    I'd forgotten tractor pulling exists.

Still, it's not competitive ploughing, is it?

Regarding Eurosport being available on Virgin. Worth remembering that Virgin buys most of it's content from Sky (and all of it from only 2 suppliers), Eurosport may be part of that deal, so Virgin may also be affected by the tiff.

(Don't know if it actually will be)

Also remember a tiff a few years ago between sky and virgin when we were Virgin customers (alas not available in my area) and we were notified that sky channels would. I longer be available. They sorted the tiff pretty quickly, suspect same will happen here...
